Sary-Chelek – 3-Day Remote Biosphere Expedition
About This Tour
Sary-Chelek is the trip serious travelers whisper about: a sapphire-blue lake hidden inside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, ringed by mountains and some of the world's largest ancient walnut forests. Getting here takes effort — which is exactly why it remains gloriously wild and uncrowded.
Over three days you'll hike pristine trails, swim in impossibly clear water, spot wildlife, and stay with welcoming local hosts far from any tourist route. If you want to see the Kyrgyzstan that existed before tourism — this is it.
